Janis Hutchison

Sculpture, Painting, and Photo-collage

Janis' current work focuses on digital collage combining her multimedia two dimensional art, photography, and sculpture to create new worlds and environments. She says, "Although each work I create in the real world stands on its own, PhotoShop allows me to integrate my sculpture, paintings, drawings, and photography in ways that were not possible when I first dreamed of combining them. Digital technology has allowed me to produce what was only possible to create in my mind when I first began my career."

In addition to her work as an artist, Janis has worked extensively as an arts educator both with students as an artist in residence, and with teachers as an arts/academics integrator. Her multi-art background allows her to tailor her residencies to various needs and various media in grades k-12. She currently resides in North Augusta, SC and can be reached at
