Mona Waterhouse

Handmade Paper, Encaustic

Waterhouse has exhibited her work throughout the USA and in Europe and has participated in national and international competitions. Individuals and corporations in this country and abroad collect her work and it can be seen among others at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta, Tokyo Airport, Japan and Westvaco-Meed Corporation, SC. Her awards include Individual Artist's grants, Hambidge Center Residency Award, GA and in 1997 she was awarded "Outstanding Georgia Woman in the Visual Arts by the State of Georgia."

She has had one-woman exhibitions at the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum, WI, Galleri Kvarnen, Sweden, Georgia Tech Center for the Arts, Atlanta and the Dard Hunter Museum, WI, to mention a few. She is currently preparing for a one-woman show at the American Museum of Papermaking, spring 2005.

Waterhouse has been published in books and numerous Exhibition Catalogues, newspaper and magazine articles.
