Patricia Hetzler
Painting and Book Arts
Pat was trained as a painter but has an extensive background in sculpture, papermaking, and the textile arts. She has a B.S. in Psychology and Art from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a minor in English Literature, and has done graduate work at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and at Arrowmont School in Tennessee.
Pat has been making artists books and teaching classes in book arts at Chastain Arts Center since 1980, and at Spruill Center for the Arts since 1985. Pat has over 30 years of teaching experience at both the adult and children's level. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States and abroad, and her work is found in many public and private collections including the City of Atlanta, Georgia Council for the Arts, Georgia Institute of Technology, DeKalb College, and West Georgia College among others.
